Environmental Impact Study of an Electric Power Grid Interconnection Project between Chile and Argentina

Amphos 21 Consulting Chile is carrying out an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the development of an Electrical Interconnection Project between Chile and Argentina. This project aims to enable an electrical transmission line that will allow electricity to be imported and exported between both countries.

Amphos 21 is developing the environmental impact assessment of the project in the Chilean territory. The EIA considers the potential effects that the project’s activities could have, specifically looking at 17 potential environmental categories, such us: flora, fauna, archaeology, landscape and tourism.

The main aim of the study is to identify and quantify the potential environmental impacts of the project to, at a later stage, propose improvement actions for the creation of shared value with the communities.
