Amphos 21 carries out a geotechnical model for prediction of slope stability for the Consell General de l’Aran. The Vall d’Aran is a mountainous region of the Central Pyrenees, where the instabilities of the terrain are an inherent risk to the territory. This model, once calibrated with parameters obtained from boreholes, will predict the risk levels of landslides based on the water table. For this reason, in the surroundings of the Valartíes river – tributary of the Garonne river – in the municipality of Arties, borehole drilling is carried out. These boreholes will later be equipped with water pressure sensors that will be managed by the Technical Office of the Consell General de l’Aran.
