In this project, the most accurate hydrological and hydrogeological information was collected for the evaluation of water resources available in high-Andean basins of the Atacama Region and assessment of a possible water transfer to the Copiapó river basin.

To achieve these objectives, the following activities were developed:

• Update of hydrological and hydrogeological information.
• Generation of new hydro-meteorological and geophysical information.
• Determination of water balances in higher detail.
• Conceptual design and preliminary assessment of water transfer between high-Andean basins and the Copiapó River basin.
